I love this watch. I've had it for less than four hours, and I love it to death. I got it, and at first glance the band looked cheaply made (stamped steel, not solid links), but after wearing it for an hour, I fell in love. The mechanism is absolutely superb.
Tip on making band smaller in stamped-steel links: Get a small pocketknife/something with a fine point. A thumbtack and needle-nose pliers will do.
On the inside of the band, closest to the clasp are links with holes in them. You should see a space, then then a small line. Insert one end of the sharp object, and push. The bolt should pop out a little. do this with two links to remove one. Then, fit on wrist, and remove/add more links if necessary.

I have a Commander submarine watch, antimagnetic, with a green/blue watchface, no numbers, mechanical. At the hour, half hour, and quarter hours there are circular gold dots. No star. Picture of sub and trademark right below it. All the letters and markings are in white. The stem is screwed down as is the back. Can anyone give me insight into this watch? I cannot find one like it on the internet. Thanks so much

Just bought a Force V last week.
Turned aroung and immediately ordered a Kremlin. It will arrive tomorrow.

I own the "Paratrooper" watch and also wanted to find out what the inscription said. Got a chance at the airport and this Ukrainian guy told me it simply meant "Water Resistant".
Dont know if this is right or not... thought it would be good to know :)

I have had a Vostok Force-VF1013 titanium watch for several weeks now. It is very light weight and keeps time to within a few seconds a day. It looks to be an excellent sports watch. I am a fan of Russian watches. I have a Poljot 3133 chrono that is a little heavy, but keeps perfect time. In the last few months, Poljots have gone up in price, and I suspect that Vostoks will go up as well as they catch on. This Vostok has a remarkable self-winding mechanism that is nearly silent, and it holds a wind for about two days. These watches are a real bargain at the prices offered on this web site.

bought the vostok 1003. very nice watch. larger than i expected and heavy but am getting used to it. seems to keep fine time. seems like good quality for the money. a nice reminder of my trip to russia. no complaints.

I purchased my 8 day winder Russian Submarine clock 7 years ago and it remains flawless to date. Regulation of the movement is easy and I rarely have to adjust is. Probably every 3 months or so. It is as accurate as my Rolex Submariner. What a conversation piece. Everybody asks me about it. I truley love this clock and for the $69.00 I paid for it, I wish I would have bought a second one. If they become available again, I will definately buy it again. Truely a great, practical wall clock, with history behind it.
